Telstra Security Architecture
After moving from TRL into Telstra Security Architecture, my project load jumped immensely. I had an average of 10-20 projects on the boil at any one time, and whilst some of them were pretty pedestrian (anyone care to be the security consultant on an upgrade to a corporate backup solution?) there was also a heap of very, very cool stuff.
Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea what I'm allowed to talk about as I don't know what's launched, what's been canned, what's still running and what's been sold to other people since I left.
Some of the stuff I can at least mention is below.
Telstra.com Intrusion Detection System
One of the higher-profile projects... An intrusion detection system for the entire Telstra.com site, plus three other major pieces of infrastructure. And who gets to design and implement it? Three of us from SecArch.
Good fun, very scary and I learnt heaps from Chris Lethaby and Anna Barton. Of course, Chris ended up working for ISS X-Force shortly after he left Telstra, so presumably he learnt a bit, too :)
Telstra Wireless Hotspots
See the Telstra Research Labs page for details.
Other cool stuff
Seriously... I have no idea what I can talk about yet. Apologies. Come back in another five years. It's on my CV, but that's not published to the web.
